Key Safety Conditions You MUST Follow
1. All batteries must have the same:
- Voltage (within 0.05V) before connecting
- Age and cycle count
- Chemistry and manufacturer (ideally same batch)
- State of charge
- If battery voltages differ before connecting in parallel, large equalization currents may flow and cause overheating or fires.
- Balance all to the same voltage before connecting.
3. Charging: Use a Compatible Smart Charger
- Your charger must match:
- Voltage: e.g., 21V for 5S full charge (4.2V × 5)
- Charge current: Should be limited based on total parallel capacity. Make sure the charging current for each battery should not over the battery's specified level
- All batteries must share load equally, or imbalance can cause localized overheating
If you are not sure about the battery condition/health, please do not charge them in parallel.
