Looking for "smart" charger for 4-Series LI-Ion 21700 batteries. Smart Charger (3.0A) for 14.8V Li-ion/Polymer Battery Pack

The application is a heated vest with 2-3A current draw from 4S Li-ion 21700 batteries. While I can buy a BMS, I do not trust them. To control discharge, I was planning on using Arduino board and MOSFET to stop discharge at ~3V. But for charging, I was hoping to find a "smart" charger to handle that task. Thus, no BMS. Your model "Smart Charger (3.0A) for 14.8V Li-ion/Polymer Battery Pack" looks good. Will that work to charge? Or do I need a BMS? Thank you!

Hi,

For safely charge the lithium batteries without BMS, you can use balance charger. The battery itself should has balance charge leads as well. For example, like the battery below.

Please double check the cell's specification to select the correct charging current.
